About Me

Hi, Racers and parents!

I'm Elise Jasek (pronounced: uh-lease jay-sick) and I'm a first-year teacher. I graduated from Sam Houston State University where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. As I was finishing my degree, I was hired at an intermediate school where I was an educational aide for special education. I immediately knew that education was the field for me which has since inspired me to earn my teaching certificate.  My degree in psychology is very well used as a special education teacher because I have a deep knowledge base for understanding human behavior, life span development, and motivation. My family has been in education for over 50 years and I'm very excited to continue the legacy.

Some of my favorite things are Reese's peanut butter cups, dogs, all things pink, and coffee. In my free time, I like to hang out with my mom and younger sister, watch movies, and play with my pets. I have three dogs and three cats who I absolutely adore. I would love to know these things about you as well! This is not required, but if you'd like, you can fill out this google survey that I can use to get to know you a little better (parents, you can submit a form too!)
